Today when I cycled along the A10 highway South of Amsterdam. I saw a nice patch of poppy flowers (I think the Latin name is Papaver rhoeas). I like the delicate leafs of the flowers. Just behind this patch big trucks pass by. I liked the contrast.

  1. Maarten, nice perspective. California poppies are some of my very favorite flowers, and these are relatives I’m sure. I think I prefer your alternative view, however. If I saw a bit more of the lorry and perhaps with a bit of motion blurring I might swing to your way of thinking.

Cheers, and happy summer to you!
